Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the students of Class 10 & 12 in his first ‘Maan Ki Baat' of 2017. The board exams for Class 10 & 12 students are set to begin in a month. PM Modi gave five tips to students to tackle exam anxiety through the session. He also indicated that students should treat the exams as a pleasure activity and they need to look at the exams in a positive light. Additionally, he warned students against malpractices during exams.

Five t ips by PM Modi to tackle exam anxiety: -
Smile More, Score More: - PM Narendra Modi expressed that the students should not panic during the exams and they must relax and prepare effectively for the exams. On the other hand, students should not study just for the sake of getting marks, rather focus on studying in order to gain knowledge. He further added that marks would follow if the ambition and mission of students are in sync.
Compete Yourself: - Students must note that exams are meant for only a year and not a lifetime. Exams are primarily considered as a benchmark of success in life. Therefore, students need to compete with themselves rather than competing with others.
Create Festive Environment: - He urged the parents to create a ‘festive environment' and happiness at home with regard to studies. Parents need to play a significant role in accepting their wards ‘the way they are' and mentor them to be a part of the society.

Say No to Cheating: - PM has warned the students against the temptation of cheating. He indicated that some students often find ways to cheat during the exams. Instead, these students can put the same effort in studies and achieve success. He questioned that if students resort to cheating during exams, what would they teach their children in future?
Take Proper Rest: - He advised the students to take adequate rest during the preparation schedule. They need to take a break during the study hours and participate in physical activities which refresh the mind.
He concluded that students need to take the exams with confidence and wished all the students all the best for the upcoming board exams.
