A new teaching center has been opened by the NCWEB which is the Non-Collegiate Women’s Education Board of Delhi University . It has increased the number of seats by 500 from this session onwards where female students can easily get admission in any of the B.Com or B.A programmes or PG courses. Apart from that, it also offers M.A in 13 different specializations along with M.Sc in Mathematics.
According to the cutoff released by the institution, a candidate will be selected for admission to these courses. The structure and curriculum of the board encourage participants to attend classes once a week. From this year onwards, NCWEB has started a new teaching center at Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College , leading to a total of 26 teaching centers having 12,200 seats in all. The cost of attaining education through the board is comparatively low with it restricting itself to the use of already established infrastructure. The classes are mainly conducted on weekends i.e. Saturdays and Sundays.

The 1st cut-off for NCWEB is likely to be announced on 1st July 2017. Other regular DU colleges have higher cut-offs in comparison to NCWEB.
The main advantage of opting for courses through NCWEB is that it allows students to pursue the course of their choice along with which they can pursue a part-time job. Further, if a student wishes to pursue another programme along with its part-time course, they can easily go for it.

Last year, the cut-off for B.A (Prog) and B.Com was 88% and 92% respectively at Miranda House as set by NCWEB. At Hans Raj College , the cut-off for B.A (Prog) was 87% while for B.Com it was 91% as per NCWEB. The usual cut-off for B.A (Prog) Regular generally goes up to 97% at Hansraj and is around 96.5% at Miranda House .
Few students exclaimed that marks are the only reason because of which they opt for non-collegiate courses.
Further, a large chunk of students praise the provisions being offered in NCWEB classes. At the same time, many show dissatisfaction with the fact that classes are conducted only once a week. They are of the opinion that teachers of the NCWEB are highly qualified but the method of teaching is not up to the mark.
