To promote an ethical code of conduct amongst faculty and students, Academic and Research Integrity Conclave 2018 will be hosted by Delhi at the Hotel Le Meridien, on May 2. The conclave will focus on the role of academic integrity in present day education system.
The Chief Guest at the conclave will be Professor Anil D. Sahasrabudhe, AICTE Chairman , whereas, the Joint Secretary of Ministry of HRD, Dr Ishita Roy, will be the guest of honour . The keynote speaker on the occasion will be the President of International Center for Academic Integrity, U.S.A., Dr. David Rettinger.
Other prominent guests at the academic integrity conclave will be academic heads of leading Indian research and academic institutions such as IIT Kharagpur , IIM Kashipur , Indian Agricultural Research Institute, IIT Delhi , Indian Council for Medical Research.

The discussions will be held on the following two themes:
- Building a culture of research excellence through original writing and critical thinking
- Leveraging integrity for excellence in Higher Education
Turnitin will be responsible for organizing the conclave. It is an organization that provides education technology and academic integrity solutions . The organization has been working for over 20 years and indexes more than 65 billion web pages and 170 million journal articles all over the world. Institutes like IITs , IIMs , IISc Bangalore and research organizations like ISRO and CISR are some of the subscribers of Turnitin.
Director of Turnitin India Education Pvt. Ltd. For the - South Asian region, Ashim Sachdeva talked about the conclave and said that the aim of this event is to discuss and come up with solutions for academic integrity in order to derive higher education system . He also added that through this initiative research can be enhanced by encouraging critical thinking and original writing.

Other than that, the global ecosystem will also be discussed at the conclave to promote research amongst a broader student group with diverse pedagogical intervention, he added.
