Delhi Government's Admission for Skill Training under World Class Skill Centre (WCSC)

The Government of Delhi has decided to address the shortage of skilled manpower through an ambitious green field project to develop a "World Class Skill Centre (WCSC)" in Delhi with international collaboration with the Government of Singapore. The Delhi government chose Singapore because of its successful track record in vocational education.

This collaboration has been conceived as a pioneering effort of national interest, and is expected to set a benchmark for vocational training in India. WCSC will have the capability of training approximately 10,000 students per year.

Courses under WCSC & Intake Capacity:

Eligibility Criteria for WCSC:

• Class 12 pass in the 10+2 system of education or its equivalent with English as a subject
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Class 10 pass with English & Mathematics as mandatory subjects with at minimum passing marks in both subjects

Class Timings: 8:30 am - 5:00 pm

Batch Intake for Skills Training under WCSC:

• Admission of the 9 batch for 400 seats of the same courses was conducted in August - 2017
• Skill Development & Training Institute has signed a MoU with NEC to Train 80 students from the North-East
• Govt. of Nagaland will sponsor 10 students for winter batch

Seat Reservation under WCSC:

• 85% reserved for candidates passing qualifying examination from Delhi schools
• 15% reserved for candidates passing qualifying examination from other states
