Entries Started for AICTE Vishwakarma Awards 2020 with “India Fights Corona” Theme

This year, the theme of the award ceremony has been decided as innovation on “India fights Corona”. The main aim of the award ceremony is to come up with innovative and cost-effective solutions by engineers from different engineering institute in order to solve real-life problems.

Annual Vishwakarma Awards 2020

The All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) has started accepting the entries for Utkrisht Sansthan Vishwakarma Awards (USVA), also known as the annual Vishwakarma awards. This year, the theme of the award ceremony has been decided as innovation on “India fights Corona”. The main aim of the award ceremony is to come up with innovative and cost-effective solutions by engineers from different engineering institute in order to solve real-life problems.

The students who are interested to participate in the Vishwakarma awards can visit the official website of the All India Council of Technical Education in order to mark their participation. Apart from this, the various institutes have also enabled the authorities or society of the institute to send the nomination for the award ceremony.

The last date to apply for the Vishwakarma awards 2020 is May 30. The major parameters which will be considered for the award ceremony include Counselling, post-COVID-19 rehabilitation, awareness programmes, and the innovative ways to conduct online classes. One student can participate for the award ceremony from each Institute who will be shortlisted by the expert team of AICTE. Awards will be given across different categories to the qualifying candidates.

In order to verify the impact of the innovation created by the respective Institute, AICTE will send an expert committee consisting of jury members including educationists, social workers, researchers, policy formulators, representatives of planning bodies, and another recognisable person. The award will be given to the winners at an event conducted at the headquarters of AICTE.
