The High Court of Andhra Pradesh has suspended the government’s order on the fee structure for B.Tech courses for the academic session 2019-20. Recently, the government of Andhra Pradesh released G.O (Government Order) 38, which confirmed the existing fee structure for B.Tech courses in government and private engineering colleges in the state shall continue for the academic session 2019-20.
Recently, some of the private engineering colleges in Telangana have approached the High Court seeking the implementation of B.Tech fee structure proposed by AFRC (Admission and Fee Regulation Commission). As per the argument of private engineering colleges, AFRC has the final authority in determining the fee structure for B.Tech courses, and the government has no role in deciding the same.
According to sources, the state government is planning to file a writ appeal seeking the implementation of the existing B.Tech fee structure for the academic session 2019-20. It seems like the AP EAMCET Round 1 seat allotment , which is scheduled to be released on August 04, 2019, is expected to be delayed due to the uncertainty prevailing over the B.Tech fees in Andhra Pradesh.
