Amidst the extension of schedule for all degree and competitive exams due to coronavirus lockdown, a report was released stating that the exams for 10th class will be held in June for Andhra Pradesh. Over the social media, many reported the circulation of schedule for class 10th exam a few days earlier. However, the state Education Minister, Adimulapu Suresh clarified that the schedule for AP SSC exams will be released only after two weeks post lifting the lockdown.

On the other hand, the Education Minister also clarified that the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) and Teacher Recruitment Test (DSC) will be conducted after the appointment of 2018 teacher recruitment is completed for recruiting teachers in the state. In contexts to this, the education minister stated that due to the growing dispute because of 2018 teacher recruitment and coronavirus pandemic, it is not possible to conduct the new teacher recruitment test currently. He further added that the recruitment exams will be conducted as soon as all the disputes are settled. The minister said that the legal argument of the government is adequately settled and the candidates who have qualified the examinations will be given the recruitment as prescribed.

Minister stated that the schedule circulated for class tenth over the social media is not true and also urged all the students to not believe any of the unofficial schedules for the exam. The final official schedule for AP SSC exams will only be released after the lockdown is lifted.
