APTET 2022

APTET 2022 is expected to be conducted in June 2022. AP TET 2022 is a state-level admission exam for individuals who desire to work as teachers in various private and government schools around the state of Andhra Pradesh. The official website for APTET Exam can be accessed at aptet.apcfss.in.

APTET Exam was last conducted in 2018 as the frequency of this examination is not annually like other TET exams. APTET is conducted only when it is time for the replacement of teacher’s posts. After 2018, it now seems that the aspiring teachers in Andhra Pradesh may finally be able to give the teacher’s eligibility test.

Despite the inconsistencies in the frequency of conduction of APTET Exam, thousands of teachership aspirants have completed their D.Ed. and B.Ed. courses each year. Although the Andhra Pradesh TET may not be a compulsory examination for jobs in private schools, APTET holds 20% weightage in teacher appointments in government schools and the recognized private schools in Andhra Pradesh.

For now, the Commissioner of School Education, Andhra Pradesh, the conducting authority of APTET, has released the syllabus for APTET exam, which strengthens that APTET will be conducted this year.

The eligibility test (APTET) will be divided into two papers: Paper-I and Paper-II. Those intending to teach in grades I to V must take Paper-I, whereas candidates intending to teach in grades VI to VIII must take Paper-II. Candidates who want to teach in all grades from I to VIII can take both Paper-I and Paper-II examinations. Both the APTET papers carry 150 MCQs for 150 marks (1 mark per question) divided equally into 5 sections of 30 marks each. The duration of the exam is 150 minutes (2.5 hours).
