International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad is all set to host the fifth edition of Big Data Analytics (BDA) conference from December 12 to December 15, 2017. BDA conference is an international forum for industry practitioners and researchers to exchange and share their ideas, practical experiences, original research results and thoughts on Big Data Analytics from varied perspectives including: -

- Analytics

The conference will comprise of the following events: -

An official associated with the Big Data conference pointed that managing data with the help of traditional data technologies had been becoming difficult in the current scenario. Managing data in several areas including genomic and proteomic studies, astronomy surveys, electronic medical records, social media content and streaming data have become difficult through traditional data technologies, he stated.
Explaining the challenges faced by analytics, he mentioned that the major challenges faced by analytics in the current perspective are privacy and velocity issues, timeliness and complexity and heterogeneity. The other challenge faced by analytics is combining data sources of multimodal or similar type and performing joint analytics on the integrated data, he highlighted.

The Analytics conference will focus on all the issues as mentioned above and figure out possible solutions to the challenges. IIIT Hyderabad received 80 research papers, out of which 10 have been selected for presentation during the conference.
