The University of Calicut has commenced the application process for admission to the M.Sc Forensic Science programme for the session 2019-20 and it will be held at Kerala Police Academy, Thrissur. The entrance exam for the same will be held on August 17, 2019, and the result will be out on August 19. Classes will begin by August 26, and the admissions will close on October 24, 2019. University of Calicut M.Sc Forensic Science Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for pursuing M.Sc Forensic Science at the University of Calicut requires the candidate to have a B.Sc degree in subjects such as
- B.Voc Forensic Science or
- B.Sc Forensic Science or
- B.Sc Zoology or
- B.Sc Botany or
- B.Voc Applied Microbiology and Forensic Science or
- B.Sc Chemistry or
- B.Sc Microbiology or
- B.Sc Physics or

BCA with at least 60 per cent marks or its equivalent from a recognised University/Institute. Candidates belonging from reserved categories such as OEC/OBC are given a relaxation of 5 per cent. SC/ST candidates only require a pass.

University of Calicut M.Sc Forensic Science Application Process
Candidates have to submit the application online on the official website of Calicut University latest by August 14, 2019, before 5 pm. Candidates also need to pay the application and entrance fee of Rs. 370. For SC/ST candidates, the fee is Rs. 160. The fee needs to be paid by August 13, 2019, through the ‘Fee Remittance’ on the official website or via ‘Instant Web Payment System’ at www.uoc.ac.in. The application form printout and challan/payment slips are not required to be sent to the University but should be kept by the candidates for submitting them once they get admission.

University of Calicut M.Sc Forensic Science Selection Process
Candidates will be offered admission on the basis of the entrance test conducted by the University. The cutoff for the entrance exam for M.Sc Forensic Science is 50 per cent for general category, 40 per cent for SC/ST and 45 per cent for OEC/OBC.
