CBSE Class 10 and 12 Board Exams to be Conducted Twice from 2025 onwardsCBSE Class 10 and 12 Board Exams to be Conducted Twice from 2025 onwards: The National Curriculum Framework for Schools, based on the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 recommendations was announced that the new school syllabus is being designed. In addition, NEP declaration for assessments and exams, the same will be dealt with in a detailed manner in NCF. The primary objective of this reformation is to make ready the Indian Students as global citizens.
Now, the Board has planned to bring reform in the class X and XII board exams. After the reform, each of these exams will be conducted twice a year from 2025. However, the same is optional for the candidates. As per the implementation of the new rule, a student can appear for the exam once or twice, and then the best score will be considered as the final marks. The primary objective of conducting the CBSE Class 10 and 12 board exams twice is to reduce the excessive burden or unnecessary stress on the students. This reformation will be adapted from the 2024-25 academic session.

More specifically, the board will conduct the class IX onward exams will be conducted semester-based. There will be a total of eight semester-based exams held during the four years, that is from class IX to XII. Likewise, the subsequent classes will be followed. Nonetheless, this will be implemented in the second phase of exam reforms. Along with the exam structure reformation, the Board is planning to bring a new design to the syllabus, so that the textbooks for Class IX to XII can be prepared accordingly.
