CBSE Class 10 Daily Practice Questions 20 October 2023: As CBSE board exam 2024 is nearing, the students shall focus on studying daily for all major and scoring subjects which are Maths, Science, and Social Science. As per the exam pattern of the board, the papers for these subjects will have MCQs, very short answer questions (VSA or SA-I), short answer questions (SA-II), long answer questions (LA), and case-based questions. For today, October 20, 2023, the short answer type-II questions woth 3 marks each for all three subjects are provided for practice.

CBSE Class 10 Practice Questions Maths

  1. For what value of x, is the median of the following frequency distribution 34.5?

  2. Draw a circle of radius 3 cm. Take two points P and Q on one of its extended diameter each at a distance of 7 cm from its centre. Construct tangents to the circle from these two points P and Q.
  3. The angle of elevation of the top of a building from the foot of the tower is 30 and the angle of elevation of the top of the tower from the foot of the building is 60. If the tower is 50 m high, then find the height of the building.

  1. Give reasons for the following:
    (i) Only one half of water molecule is shown in the formula of Plaster of Paris.
    (ii) Sodium hydrogen carbonate is used as an antacid.
    (iii) On strong heating, blue coloured copper sulphate crystals turn white.
  2. Answer the following:
    (i) Draw a labelled diagram to show the preparation of hydrogen chloride gas in laboratory.
    (ii) Test the gas evolved first with dry and then with wet litmus paper. In which of the two cases, does the litmus paper show change in colour ?
    (iii) State the reason of exhibiting acidic character by dry HCl gas / HCl solution.
  3. A compound ‘A’ is used in the manufacture of cement. When dissolved in water, it evolves a large amount of heat and forms compound ‘B’. (i) Identify A and B. (ii) Write chemical equation for the reaction of A with water. (iii) List two types of reaction in which this reaction may be classified.
