CBSE Class 12 English Analysis 2023: Most of the English medium students gave their first paper today for CBSE English Core. Along with it, the exam for CBSE English Elective was also conducted. Both papers were conducted in the same morning shift of 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM. By around 2 PM, we have detailed the reviews of the students as well as the experts on this page. We have also provided here the answer key for the papers for all the objective questions.

CBSE Class 12 English 2023 Analysis: Student Reviews
The significant highlights of the exam, as well as student reviews and thoughts on CBSE 12th English 2023 paper, Core and Elective, have been posted here:
English Core
- As per the first reviews obtained on CBSE English analysis, the paper was "moderate, balanced, and as per expectations".
- "I am happy with how my paper went," a girl from Noida said. "I kept my word count approximately as per what I saw in the board solutions so the paper did not seem very lengthy to me as well. It was an easy paper. I expect to do good."
- Earlier as well, the TOI reported that the invigilators found the students to be mostly stress-free while writing the paper.
- "For me, the paper was easy but the literature section seemed very lengthy. By the end, I struggled to complete the paper and ended up writing answers shorter than I'd prefer."
- "Literature section seemed challenging to me," a student expressed. "I also found some of the questions from the passages to be somewhat tricky as well. Other than that, I would say the paper was okay. Not easy for me, but not very difficult either."
- The second passage was said to be confusing and required a thorough understanding of the passage before answering the questions.
- Many questions in the paper were value-based while some questions were rather direct in nature. The writing skills section consisted of mainly direct questions while the literature was more focused on value-based questions.
English Elective
- The overall difficulty level of the paper was moderate.
- It was reported that Section A and the grammar part of Section B were very easy.
- Literature and Fiction were doable but said to be slightly above moderate difficulty level.
- Writing skills section was found to be moderate.
- The paper was said to be somewhat lengthy as well.
