CBSE CTET 2016 is scheduled for September 18 and a recent notification regarding the exam centers has been released for the applicants applying from the state of Jammu and Kashmir. There are six exam centers in the state of which five are in Jammu and one is in Srinagar.
Considering the current situation in the state, the exam center arrangement has been slightly changed and one exam center has been fixed in Jammu for the students who hail from Srinagar only. Candidates from Srinagar can appear from either of the centers.
Admit cards for the exam have already been released.
About the Exam:
Aspirants who are applying to be a teacher for classes I to V will have to appear for Paper I.
For candidates who wish to teach classes VI to VIII will have to give Paper II.
The test will not be conducted on dates other than the schedule if a candidate fails to appear on the particular date. For this reason, candidates from Srinagar (J&K) are provided with the option to choose from either of the centers in Srinagar (J&K) or in Jammu.

Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) is organized to shortlist teachers for classes 1 to class 8.
