Centre to Start an Online Network of Scientific Research Facilities

Center is planning to establish an online network of scientific research. The main aim behind the establishment of an online national network is to bring down the cost of research in the country and to make scientific research accessible to all those who are interested. The initiative will provide access to researchers so that they can carry on their own independent research whether it is academic or non-academic through an online reservation system. The number of researchers is growing day-by-day. Hence, this platform will serve as a great help to the students planning to pursue research.

University Grants Commission ( UGC) has sent a letter to the vice-chancellors of all the universities across the country. The letter by the UGC states that the Government of India is establishing an online network to accommodate all researchers such as scientific, technical, and analytical research.

The government will also provide research equipment with the help of the funds provided by the agencies and help the researchers. The online portal is a great initiative as it will cut the cost incurred by the candidates while doing the research. UGC has also asked all the higher educational institutions to provide them with the information regarding existing facilities and instruments at different centres.

UGC has also set up various query centres regarding the same so that all the queries and grievances of educational institutions can be answered
