The University of Delhi has decided to continue with the old pattern of DUET instead of adding new courses in it. The decision of the University to keep the DUET exam pattern unaltered has put an end to all the speculations that the students have to appear in DUET to pursue any UG programme offered at the University. DUET will continue to be conducted for entry into select UG programmes like the 5-years integrated programme in Journalism , Bachelor of Elementary Education , B.A (Hons) in Humanities & Social Sciences , B.Tech in Information Technology & Mathematical Innovations, BBA in Financial Investment Analysis, Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS) and B.A (Hons) in Business Economics.
In the wake of making the admission process in Delhi University more student-friendly, a suggestion form was released in December 2019 which aimed at procuring suggestions from the students. As many as 210 suggestions were received by the DU officials ranging from single admission forms to one-time verification of documents.

The authorities are currently analysing the suggestions which they received and the ones which will be shortlisted will be implemented, said the Dean of Admissions Pankaj Arora. He also opened up about the implementation of a single form for admission into diverse programmes. He feels that it will be challenging to implement the single form admission process given the fact that different colleges have different requirements. He also added that the authorities are vigorously trying to work out a method which will be easy for the students.
