CTET 2022 Reservation Policies: Check Reservation Criteria for Different Categories

CTET 2022 Reservation Policies: The National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) has prescribed the eligibility criteria for Paper 1 and Paper 2. Candidates before registering themselves must ensure to meet the basic CTET 2022 eligibility criteria. A minimum of 50% marks must be obtained in senior secondary or graduation along with a relevant teacher training program. CTET Online Registration 2022 will begin on  October 31, 2022. The last date to apply is  November 24, 2022.  The CTET 2022 exam will be held between December 2022 to January 2023. Also, certain modifications have been made to the eligibility criteria which are provided below.

CTET 2022 Reservation Criteria

Aspirants can find the reservation criteria of the reserved categories for CTET 2022 below.

• Candidates belonging to the reserved category hold no reservation of seats in CTET 2022
• The SC/ ST/ OBC/ Differently-abled candidates will get a 5% relaxation in the qualifying marks of the educational qualification in the CTET 2022 eligibility criteria.
• Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories are required to obtain 55% (82 out of 150) marks.
• In CTET 2022, there is no limitation to the number of attempts. Also, no upper age limit has been set by exam officials. Therefore, aspirants who satisfy the minimum educational qualification can appear for the test any number of times.

Revised CTET Eligibility Criteria 2022

Aspirants before applying must go through the revised CTET eligibility criteria 2022 below.

'Post-Graduation with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade and three-year integrated BEd - MEd'.

According to the revised criteria,  Aspirants who have secured a minimum of 55 percent marks in the post-graduation from any NCTE-recognized institution with a 3-year integrated BEd-MEd course will be eligible for CTET 2022 exam and will be recruited to teach Classes 1 to 5. However, the applicants must undergo a 6 month Bridge Course in Elementary Education (within two years of their appointment).
