India to Host Bharat Tex 2024 - World’s Largest Textiles Event in February
After the grand success of the G-20 Summit 2024, India is set to host one more grand event in February 2024, ‘Bharat Tex 2024’ the largest event to promote different textiles and cultures around the country and the world.
- The announcement for Bharat Tex 2024 was made at Vanijya Bhawan on October 23, 2023 in the presence of Union Minister Piyush Goyal/
- Various exhibitions and cultural events will be hosted on February 26 to 29, 2024 at the newly built ‘Bharat Mandapam and Yashobhoomi’ in New Delhi
- The theme will represent India’s 5F Vision - Farm to Fiber to Factory to Fashion/
- The organising committee will include the consortium of 12 Textile Export Promotion Councils (EPCs) along with the Ministry of Textiles/
Israel-Hamas War: Israel Calls for UNSG Antonio Guterres’ Resignation For ‘Justifying Terrorism’
The deadly war between Israel and the Hamas-operated Gaza Strip has entered its third week. As the whole world has chosen sides considering their national/regional interests, Israel has called for the resignation of United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres after his remarks on justifying the initial attacks carried out by Hamas:
- The UNSG stated that the attacks launched by Hamas earlier this month “did not occur in a vacuum.” This remark has faced strong opposition from Israel and it has asked for his resignation for tolerating and justifying terrorism.
- After US, China also sent its warships towards the Mediterranean Sea, which increased global tension.
- Israel has revised its budget and has accounted for 246 million dollars to be spent daily on the war with Gaza.
