Delay in CBSE Results 2022

Delay in CBSE Results 2022: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is yet to release the CBSE Board 10th Results 2022 . With the CBSE still not providing any certainty in the time of release of the CBSE Board 2022 results, the student community is becoming increasingly anxious. This delay is going to affect Class 10 students who are on tenterhooks as to what stream they should and can pick for the next two years of higher studies. For Class 11 students, it is proving to be an impediment in the process of deciding whether they should shift streams or not.

Usually, the CBSE Board Results used to be released in the month of May. However, ever since the pandemic set in, the results have been delayed. In both 2020 and 2021, the results were released in the month of July. As a matter of fact, last year, CBSE announced the Class 12 Board results on July 30 and the Class 10 results on August 3. These are extreme delays that can cause a lot of trouble to several students.

This year once again the results are being delayed even though Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan had last week reassured the student community by hinting that there would be no delay this year. He also stated that the examinations got over on June 15, 2022, and it takes around 45 days for the evaluation process to be completed.

While streams are usually allocated based on the pre-board marks, it is still important for students to get the Class 10 result in order to continue on with the stream chosen. Without the Board result, most students are in a state of anxiety and stress regarding their future plans. According to latest reports and statements from Sudha Acharya who serves as the Chairperson of the National Progressive School Conference (NPSC) , several students are not attending classes regularly because of the unsure nature of their board results and further studies.

“Many students are waiting for the board result. They are confident that they’ll be able to opt for a stream of their choice. Some of them are only attending select classes in subjects that are common across streams. Many others are skipping school as they don’t want to pay the fee unless they are allocated a stream of their choice. They might switch schools if the results are not what they expected,” was the statement offered by Acharya.

Eminent educationist Gowri Ishwaran also came out in support of the student community by stating that the CBSE board should plan their timetable in advance and let the students know of possible dates and times along a more transparent academic calendar. Otherwise, there would be extreme haphazard mismanagement as is now happening.

Best of luck to th students!
