The Department of Science and Technology (DST) declared that they will make a database of the participants at the National Children's Science Congress (NCSC). They will also showcase a few success stories to inspire current child scientists.
The 27th edition of the National Children's Science Congress will start on December 27 where child scientists of 658 record from across the country will participate, as informed by an official.
According to reports, the mega event is to be organised in Kerala for the first time.

The Director of DST Sujit Banerjee said that the delegates who will come from the respective states have a record of individuals. The DST will thereon come out with a database of the child scientists who have participated in the past editions. They would also showcase their success stories in order to motivate the current child scientists.
The 658 child scientists will be coming from 28 Indian States, nine union territories apart from the different Indian schools in the Middle East.
They will be accompanied by 203 teachers and they would undergo workshop sessions to talk about best science education that can be put to use.

The event will be graced by the presence of Vice-President of India M. Venkaiah Naidu which will be held on December 30. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate the event at the Girideepam Convention Centre wherein each state will march to the venue in their traditional wear. The same will be followed by a flag hoisting and inaugural session.
The technical sessions will be organised at 12 locations. One of the main attractions of the event is 'Meet the Scientist' which will feature Unnikrishnan Nair, the director of Human Space Flight Centre, ISRO, Bengaluru. The second attraction will be the Techno tour for the child scientists. Institutions like NCESS, WWF, ISSR, Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, IISER , Serr Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences will also open stalls at the programme.
NCSC is a flagship event of the National Council for Science and Technology Communication. It is organised to spread scientific education among the children between the 10-17 age group.
