The admission process of the University of Delhi for UG and PG courses for the academic session 2018-19 is currently underway. DU has successfully conducted an online entrance test for PG, M.Phil and Ph.D. courses this year. Apart from various UG and PG courses offered by DU, you must also be aware of the new courses introduced by the varsity. The details of new courses introduced by DU are elaborated below.
New Courses Introduced by Delhi University:
Following are some of the new courses introduced by Delhi University:
1. B.A. Voc in Office Management and Secretarial Practices
The three-year UG course in Office Management and Secretarial Practices offered by DU is approved by UGC. The course will focus on familiarising the students with the activities of a modern office. The course includes topics on the functioning of an organisation, equipment and tools used in the office, working environment in the office, facilities provided to the working staff etc.
DU conducts entrance test for this course which consists of skill-oriented questions from reading and writing. Each question in the entrance test carries 10 marks. DU enrolls 89 students in this course every year.

2. B.A. Voc in Human Resource Management
Delhi University offers 100 seats in B.A Voc in Human Resource Management. The three-year UG course is approved by UGC. The course aims to educate students on fundamental training in handling and managing human resources such as legal issues, compensation, performance management, training and development, recruitment and selection, workforce planning, handling job designs and analysis.
3. B.A. Voc in Marketing Management and Retail Business
The three-year UGC approved undergraduate course aims to inculcate knowledge and skills of managing people. Skills in marketing management will help students to fare well in retail business. The course is associated with the skills in the field such as marketing techniques, understanding the customer needs etc.

4. Certificate course in Tourism & Travel Management
The tourism industry has been gaining momentum in the recent years. The field offers lucrative job offers with higher salary packages. DU’s certificate course in Tourism & Travel Management will help aspirants to understand the techniques in the field and promote business ideas. Candidates who have passed Class 12 are eligible to take up certificate course in Tourism & Travel Management.
Apart from the above courses, DU offers numerous add-on courses . DU also introduced PGD in Cyber Security and a five-year integrated course in Journalism.
