DU CSAS Admission 2023 portal offers two options, Freeze and Upgrade, through online reporting that the candidate can either opt to retain their seat or to go for a better allocation in the next counselling round, if any. Freeze after DU CSAS Seat Allotment 2023
All the important highlights of the Freeze option after seat allotment in DU CSAS 2023 counselling are as follows:- ‘Freeze’ indicates that the candidate is completely satisfied with the allotted institute & branch and wishes to confirm his/her admission there.
- Once the freeze option is exercised, the candidate will not be able to upgrade the seat allocation.
- Freeze candidates will not be considered for any further seat allocations, whether they complete the admission formalities at the allotted institute or not.
- Hence, the Freeze option must be exercised carefully.
- If Preference #1 is allotted, it is mandatory for the candidate to choose ‘Freeze’ option only as upgradation will not be available for such candidates.
Upgrade after DU CSAS Seat Allotment 2023
All the important highlights of the Upgrade option after seat allotment in DU CSAS 2023 counselling are as follows:- “Upgrade’ indicates that the candidate is partially satisfied with the allotted institute and hence, wishes to retain the current allocation but go for the next round at the same time.
- Candidates who opt for Upgrade are eligible for the next counselling round, if any. However, if a new/upgraded/higher preference is allotted, the current allocation will automatically be cancelled and the candidate will have no claim to the seat thereafter.
- The upgradation option will not be available for Preference #1 allotted candidates.
- If a candidate gets an upgraded seat, then he/she must confirm admission to the upgraded seat. If not, the candidate will be disqualified from the counselling process.
- If the seat is not upgraded, the candidate will retain the earlier allotted seat.
Note: If the candidate does not opt for either Freeze or Upgrade, then his/her current allocation will be considered as ‘Freeze’ and the candidate will not be eligible for participation in any of the subsequent counselling rounds, if any.
