The Colleges affiliated to the University of Delhi have welcomed the new students who have joined different programmes that are offered under Delhi University by conducting different Orientation and Student Induction Programmes. Each college conducts its own SIPs and orientation programmes.

After a long admission process, the colleges affiliated to Delhi University has begun with its student induction programme and orientation programmes. Colleges have already started to welcome the students after the arduous journey through the rollercoaster ride that is Delhi University admissions.
Many Delhi University College Principals have come forward to motivate and encourage the students to move forward and make themselves as well as the society to be a better place to live in. Dr Rama Sharma, the Principal of Hansraj College has urged the students to take up the baton and carry it forward.
Lakshmibai College also conducted a Student Induction Programme that introduced the college to the freshers. The student induction programme will be conducted for an entire week, where the students will learn everything they need to know about the college. With various clubs and societies, the students have much to explore and to choose from.

Zakir Husain College had also held an orientation programme for its new students, providing them with all the important information and guidelines of the college, its curriculum and every other aspect of college life that a college-going student must know. The Principal of the college, Dr Masroor Ahmed Beg addressed the students during the orientation programme and motivated them to become the ideal Indian citizen that will improve the conditions of the society. Along with the motivational speech, the students were also informed of the various facets of Zakir Husain College along with its rules and regulations.

As part of the orientation programme, all the students have been warned of taking part in any kind of activities that incites ragging . Adding that the colleges have established anti-ragging cells that will ensure the safety of the students and restrict any ragging activities from taking place. Most other Delhi University also conducted their own student induction or orientation programmes to help the student adjust to the new environment.
