DU Open Book Exams 2021 Guidelines
Interested candidates are advised to go through the guidelines mentioned below to clear all the doubts they may have regarding the OBE.
Students can either choose the physical mode (taking the exam from college) or the remote mode (taking the exam from home) through ICT-based facilities.
All candidates who have opted for the physical mode will have the provision to take the tests at home.
Candidates who have opted for the online mode will not be provided with the physical mode as an option.
In other words, those who have opted for physical mode will have the option of writing the test through remote mode but not vice-versa.
All the DU affiliated colleges must provide the nodal officers’ email ID and mobile number on the institute portal. This is to make it easier for students to reach the officers for any query.
Colleges will be providing students with all the necessary infrastructure in compliance with the UGC and MHA guidelines for Covid-19.
All candidates are required to bring A4 size sheets to the tests.
Students will have 4 hours for the tests, out of which, one hour would be given for scanning the answer sheet and uploading it to the portal.
Students from the Differently-abled category will be given 6 hours.
Candidates must upload the answer sheets in JPEG or PDF format.
If a student faces technical difficulties while uploading the answer sheet, she/ he/ they can submit the sheet even after the stipulated time limit. However, she/ he/ they will have to provide documentary evidence for the same to get an additional one hour.
This delayed submission will be sent for a decision to the review committee and may cause a delay in the result declaration of these students.
