The Vice Chancellor of Krishna University, Acharya N Krishna Rao, participated in a workshop organized by Andhra Pradesh Pollution Control Board in association with Bapuji Vidyalayam, Machalipatnam. Workshop was organized on “Conservation of Environment and Water Resources from the clutches of pollution”. It was organized on the occasion of World Environment Day on 5-June-2016.

Speaking on the theme of the workshop, VC of Krishna University said, “It is the prior responsibility of every citizen to save the environment from the clutches of pollution. One should not waste water resources as there is a lot of shortage of water resources. More projects must be constructed to avoid sea water joining oceans. In order to avoid pollution people must plant more number of trees. Trees not only control pollution but also give a lot of things for the sake of human beings. There is no sustainability between deforestation and afforestation. Hence it must be balanced by taking up raid plantation campaigns”.

Later he distributed prizes to the winners of various competitions conducted by Bapuji Vidyalam on account of ‘World Environment Day’. The workshop was attended by E Satyanarayana, official of AP Pollution Board, Muncipal Chairman, M Babu Prasad and others.
