FMGE Result 2022: Record 39.6% of students crack the FMGE December 2022 examA record-shattering 39.6% of students have managed to crack the FMGE 2022 exam December session. Focused preparation starting from MBBS first year, downtime during the pandemic, and credible online prep materials have contributed significantly to the new feat. In the past, the FMGE exam pass rate ranged between 10-20% only which improved significantly this year.
Another reason that has contributed to students passing in record numbers is the fear of the NExT exam. Since the NExT exam will replace FMGE and NEET PG exams from 2024, students left no stone unturned to clear the screening test once and for all. Owing to their familiarity with the FMGE test, students focused on clearing the exam this year itself.
Officials have also stated that FMGE December 2022 session had a moderate level of difficulty which might have played a big factor in this spike. NExT exam is set to replace the FMGE screening test from 2023. It will comprise a new practical component that will improve the quality of FMGs graduating from medical colleges.
