During the initial rounds of FYJC, students were nervous due to the higher cut-offs. Seats in many popular colleges were filled in the first, second and third rounds. Many students were left with limited options due to heavy competition.

After the third round, the competition got tougher and many of the colleges did not lower their cut-off for the fourth round. With the rise in number of students applying to popular colleges, many colleges had even increased the cut-offs after the second round. Over 30 colleges recorded 100% admissions after the conclusion of the third round.
