GIZ & Steinbeis Germany and Indian Institute of Managment Calcutta Innovation Park (IIMCIP) are going to organise a four-day workshop on 'Managing Innovation in Small Business' from January 30 to February 2, 2017.
The primary objective for holding workshop is to inculcate the spirit of innovation among the entrepreneurs and enhance the Innovation Managment capability of Start-Ups and Small & Medium Enterprises (SEMs). The workshop not only focuses on promoting innovation capability but also find right idea for the expansion of business of start-ups and SMEs. Startups and SEMs need to play a crucial role in developing the economy and generate more employment opportunities.

The workshop has been designed mainly for SEMs and startups to explore, innovate and develop feasible markets and business models to enhance the growth of their enterprises. The workshop provides not only theoretical approach but also practical tools as well as techniques to generate service ideas or innovative products and validate them. The workshop will give a clear idea of marketing and branding of products as well as financial modelling and business model presentation and development.

The four-day workshop will enable the participants with hands-on and practical tools to manage innovations related to SEMs and startups. Experimental Learning Methodology (ELM) is the pedagogy of the workshop. The workshop includes classroom lectures, group discussions, case studies, hands-on exercises and presentations.
