GMAC Partners with 9 Leading B-schools for ‘Study in India’ Initiative

  • Owner of GMAT and NMAT exams, GMAC has collaborated with 9 of the top Indian b-schools to attract international students.
  • Students in 27 countries will be able to apply for business courses offered by these b-schools through their GMAT exam score.
GMAC Partners with 9 Leading B-schools for ‘Study in India’ Initiative

Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) – owner of the GMAT and NMAT by GMAC entrance tests – has joined hands with nine of the leading b-schools in India to kick start Study in India Initiative. The initiative has been launched to globally strengthen India's position as a destination for graduate management education.

GMAC’s collaboration with these b-schools will open up opportunities for international aspirants across 27 countries who seek management education in India. The initiative is also backed by the HRD Ministry in order to present India's potential as a higher education destination in Middle East, Africa, South and East Asia.

GMAC has partnered with the following B-schools:

  • Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIM-A)
  • Indian School of Business, Hyderabad (ISB)
  • Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIM-B)
  • Indian Institute of Management Indore (IIM-Indore)
  • IMT Ghaziabad
  • Xavier University Bhubaneswar (XUB)
  • Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai (NMIMS)
  • SP Jain Institute of Management & Research, Mumbai (SPJIMR)
  • Great Lakes Institute of Management, Chennai (GLIM)

The Study in India initiative has been launched to attract international students seeking business education and provide them with globally recognized education that will be relevant in the international markets.

Aspirants from 27 countries listed under the Study in India will now be able to apply for the 9 Indian B-schools mentioned above through the official website. They will be able to secure admission on the basis of their GMAT scores.

President and CEO of GMAC, Mr. Sangeet Chowfla talked about the launch and said that India has the potential for becoming a global education hub. He added that affordable and quality education can make India a favourable destination for higher education.

Through Study in India, international students will be able to access globally accredited business programmes in India. Chowfla also thanked the HRD Ministry for their encouragement in making this initiative a reality.

He added that this initiative will help the top Indian b-schools in creating a larger and much diverse international talent pool. The will also provide the Indian students with better classroom experience and exposure.
