The Government has launched the 'Yeh India ka time hai' programme and students at IITs and central universities will be relishing in the patriotic wave propagated by the music performed by Rock bands. The HRD Ministry also announced that a private entertainment firm was hired to identify bands that will perform patriotic songs at these premier institutes.

The government has shortlisted 100 institutes that have the space to accommodate at least a thousand students. Rock bands have also been identified by the Information and Broadcasting ministry to conduct concerts at colleges.

Earlier this month, the government has also asked institutes to conduct quizzes around the freedom struggle and movements of India for students across the country. Students from technical as well as non-technical backgrounds were invited to participate in these quizzes.

Top 10 winners amongst all students will be shortlisted by the government and these winners will get an opportunity to interact with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
