Admission Notice -Handique Girl’s College Announces Admission for 2016-2017

Handique Girl’s College invites applications from eligible candidates for admission into the First year/semester of HS, TDC (Sc. & Arts) & BCA programme. The admission will be held as per the schedule given below:

Application form along with Prospectus can be obtained from the College Office from 01.06.2016 onwards, on weekdays from 10.00a.m to 3.30 p.m., on payment of `250/-(Two hundred and fifty) only in cash or through credit card/debit card. Application forms can also be downloaded from college website www.hgcollege.org. The downloaded form must be submitted with `250/-in cash or DD drawn in favor of Principal, Handique Girls’ College payable at State Bank of India, Guwahati Main Branch.

General Rules for Admission

• The candidate can apply only when she secures a minimum of 45% (for General category) and 40% (for Reserved Category & seeking Major in Bengali and Sanskrit) of marks in the qualifying examination.

• The candidate must secure a minimum of 50% (for General category) and 45% (for Reserved Category) of marks in the concerned subject for getting Major in the subject.

• However, students opting for Major in Bengali may be allowed a relaxation in cut off marks subject to the availability of seats.

• The preference will be given to the students having Mathematics at +2 level for admission in the BCA course
