Haryana Vishwakarma Skill University has introduced a new three-year course in automobile mechatronics and automotive manufacturing. The programme will be delivered and executed in collaboration with the renowned two-wheeler manufacturer - Hero MotoCorp. The partnership has been formalised under the Earn While You Learn scheme.
The programme will be in sync with the industry expectations and students will be trained in such a way that they can apply the skills in reality.

Interested applicants will be required to appear for an entrance test that is scheduled to be conducted on 12th August 2017. Those who are able to clear the test will be able to take up the course and will then be granted a stipend as well.
Mr. Raj Nehru who is the vice-chancellor of the University revealed that the programme will be based on a dual education model. He further added that the industry campus will provide facilities for on-the-job training as well as classroom teaching. Apart from that, candidates will also get an option to enter and exit at different levels of the programme as per their choice.

The vice-chancellor also said that the programme is aligned to the National Skill Qualification Framework and will help cater to the increasing demand for skilled workers that will ultimately lead to strong and balanced development. Students will become job-ready after completing the course. Further, they will be able to soon take up leadership roles.
As another step towards achieving the objective of quality education, the University also plans to introduce a Masters level and a Ph.D. level programme in mechatronics and automotive manufacturing for students.
