The CICSE has started with its registration process for Compartmental/Improvement Exams for ISCE and ISC Board 2020. The last date to register for the same is September 22, 2020. The registration is open for the candidates who have failed the exams and for those who are not satisfied with the marks given to them as per the new assessment scheme.
As per the official notification of CISCE, the marks obtained in the Compartmental/ Improvement exams will be considered as final and no other exam will be held.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19, CISCE decided not to conduct the exams, and candidates were given marks based on the new assessment scheme. According to the new assessment scheme, the Council gave marks for exams which were not conducted on the basis of the average of the highest three marks obtained from among the subjects for which board exams were held.
The council also informed in case of any changes in marks after the Compartmental/ Improvement exams, the same will reflect in the mark sheet. This year, the pass percentage for both class 10 and 12 students had increased. The pass percentage for class 12 stands at 96.84% as compared to 96.52%. Whereas the pass percentage of class 10 was recorded at 99.33% from 98.54% last year.
For the upcoming board exams, CISCE has reduced the syllabus for all the major subjects of class 10 and 12 by 25%. This is to make up for the loss in instructional hours in the current academic session due to COVID0-19.
