In wake of prevailing COVID-19 outbreak, the Institute of Companies Secretaries of India (ICSI) has further extended the cut-off date for pre-examination test and the one-day orientation programme till August 31, 2020. ICSI informed that one-time relaxation and will be applicable for the candidates who are appearing in the CS June 2020 examination only.
The official notification of ICSI states that due to the COVID-19 outbreak in India, the ICSI has decided to temporarily relax the regulations pertaining to pre-examination test and one-day orientation programme latest by 5 pm on August 31st, 2020. The exams dates were also postponed due to the uncertainty of the future because of the nationwide lockdown.
ICSI CS exam 2020 for Foundation course will be held on 11th and 12th July 2020. The CS exam for Professional and Executive programmes will be held on July 6th, 7th, 8th, 10th, 11th, 13th, 14th, and 15th. The registration for CSEET 2020 will close on June 15 and the exam is scheduled for July 17th.
The council has also taken a decision to reduce the number of elective for Professional Programme and has discontinued three elective papers from Module-III. These three modules are Direct Tax Law and Practice, Forensic Audit, and Valuations and Business Modelling.
