Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) has entered into a strategic alliance with New York-based mobile internet enhancement company Alef Mobitech. Under the Mobile Internet World (MIW) programme, they will deliver and develop a platform of collaborative studies.
Under the MIW, this is the first series of initiatives and subsequently within next few years it would partner global schools of excellence in business and technology.

The new alliance will provide students with a global exposure and will be updated with various latest developments of IT sector like -
- Fog computing
- Internet of Things (IoT)
- Artificial intelligence
Alef Mobitech will work in collaboration with IIMA and plans to create a pipeline of projects, contributing to the Centre’s Digital India development initiatives and help research and development studies. In a statement, founder and CEO of Alef Mobitech, Dr. Ganesh Sundaram said the world is at the threshold of 4th industrial revolution and at this critical juncture, mobile internet ecosystem is going to play an important role in the domain of engineering digital lifestyle.

Prof. Rekha Jain, Chairperson IITCOE-IIMA, also spoke on the alliance. In her speech, she said that the centre will not only help in the catalysis of new trends but also the emerging technology in the digital revolution. The new technology is rapidly encompassing the country. The alliance with Alef Mobitech would definitely help in carving out new business models and will address challenges faced by the ecosystem. It would also help to come out with new policy recommendations, pave the way for innovations and help in realising PM Modi's Digital India Mission.
