The major impact of the economic slowdown that is being seen in the placements of these top B-Schools in India is in the sector of companies that are making job offers to the students. While earlier, FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) companies such as ITC, Unilever etc. were the top recruiters in these placements, current trends have seen a shift. Consulting firms have become the top recruiters at IIMs , as well as at other top management colleges in India , and companies such as Boston Consulting Group (BCG), Accenture, McKinsey & Co etc. have not only made the most but also the highest job offers at IIM placements.
