Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow has been regarded as a preferable campus in India for Sales & Marketing profiles. Around 30% of the jobs offered were from the Sales & Marketing domain in the summer placement season which concluded recently. Around 20% jobs were in Consulting. The other segments were E-commerce (15%), IT and General Management (5%) and Finance (20%).
This year, a total number of 458 students secured jobs in 151 domestic and international companies. Around 32 recruiters took part in the summer placements and 60% of these companies offered employment in Sales & Marketing segment.

A total number of 140 job offers were made in consumer goods/ FMCG/ Telecom/ Digital Media sector. The top firms that offered employment in this sector are:-

- HT Media
- Airtel
- ABinBev
- Colgate-Palmolive
- Nestle
- Samsung
Around 40 job offers were made from Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI) sector. The top recruiters in this area were Bank Of America Merrill Lynch, Avendus Capital, Duff & Phelps, BNP Paribas, Citi Bank, ICICI Bank, Lumis Partners and Standard Chartered among others.
A total number of 54 offers were made in the Consulting domain. The top recruiters in this domain were Deloitte, Accenture, Auctus Advisors, Hitachi Consulting & MasterCard Advisors, BCG, Alvarez & Marsal, AT Kearney and AT Kearney.
