The popularity of IIM Nagpur has increased this year, as the PGP batch 2018-20 has caught the attention of the nation’s best minds. Some of the students who received admission offer at older IIMs opted for PGP course at IIM Nagpur. It clearly indicates the outstanding performance of the premier institute in the recent years.

The PGP batch 2018-20 of IIM Nagpur comprises of more female students, non-engineers, freshers and students who also bagged admission offer from older IIMs. The new PGP batch of IIM Nagpur is diverse, and the major reason for the increase in diversity is IIM Nagpur’s move to increase the intake of students from 60 to 120.
At present, IIM Nagpur is functioning from its temporary campus located at VNIT (Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology). IIM Nagpur is expecting to shift to its permanent campus by 2020. Shifting to permanent campus before 2020 is not possible despite speedy construction process. The 132-acre permanent campus of IIM Nagpur is being constructed at Mihan.

IIM Nagpur Director, Mr. LS Murthy revealed that almost 80% of CAT applicants evinced interest in taking up PGP course at IIT Nagpur, which is an encouraging trend. The new PGP batch has a higher proportion of non-engineers (5%). The PGP batch 2018-20 has some students with average work experience of 23 months. In the last year four years, IIM Nagpur has improved in terms of diversity, quality education and campus placements, he highlighted.
