In an attempt to garner innovative and unique ideas, a Start-up Centre has been started by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bhubaneswar . This is a golden opportunity for the skilled engineering graduates from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana that will allow them to establish their small firms on this centres available on the campus.
Director of the institute, Prof. R.V. Raja Kumar said that IIT Bhubaneswar will offer land that is required for setting up the entity. Along with this, facilities such as electricity, internet and water will also be provided on minimal payment basis.

The institute will be responsible for shortlisting these candidates based on their potential of their proposals and their skills. The IIT will also be responsible for mentoring these start-ups and will promote their business plan. The plan also includes a grant to the tune of Rs 2.5 lakh to 10 of the shortlisted start-ups on a yearly basis so that they can start out in the market.
