Indian Institute of Technology, (IIT) Bombay offers a one-year Master in Development Practice (MDP) program. The registration process for the same has commenced from the second week of May and the last date to apply is 19th June 2022. Interested candidates can visit the official website- www.iitb.ac.in to fill in the application form.
This academic course will be offered at IIT Bombay's Centre for Technology Alternatives for Rural Areas (CTARA) in the last week of July. This program will provide academic training for professionals in the development sector in response to a demand from stakeholders in the sector. CTARA has been training development professionals and practitioners for many years, according to the tech institute.
Students will complete a majority of their MDP program online, with a few in-person sessions on campus. During two semesters of approximately 14 weeks each, lectures are scheduled in the evenings and on weekends. There will also be a 6-week summer term for a field-based project.
Qualifications for the new curriculum include engineers, architects, technology professionals, and scientists with a master's degree in physical sciences, as well as individuals with a minimum of 24 months of related fieldwork experience. A letter of recommendation and an experience certificate from your employer will be needed if you are employed.

Selection Procedure
A formal application and all required documents and certificates are required for the selection and admission process. Interviews, the statement of purpose (SoP), and the application form will all be considered in the selection process. Interviews and selection tests will be conducted on July 1 and 2.
Upon acceptance, students will be asked to pay the entire program fee of Rs. 3,00,000 in two installments at the start of each semester. Furthermore, students enrolled in this program will not receive financial assistance or dormitory housing from IIT Bombay.
