IIT Gandhinagar is organizing a global conference on Nuclear Magnetic Resonance from March 6 to March 9, 2022. Read to know about the upcoming event.
The Department of Chemistry of the Indian Institute of Technology (IITGN) is going to organize the 27th meeting of the National Magnetic Resonance Society (NMRS 2022) and an international conference on Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR): Chemistry, Biology and Drug Discovery. It will be a virtual conference that will take place between March 6 to March 9, 2022.
The annual meetings of NMRS have been internationally recognized for their in-depth intellectual nature and highly skilled research discourse. As per the declaration of IITGN, the event will comprise of 9 plenary talks and 40 invited talks, 6 award lectures, along with several short talks and students’ verbal and poster demonstrations. The key discussions will encompass all the aspects of magnetic resonance. The institute emphasized the significance of NMR spectroscopy and the obligatory role of MRI in healthcare.

As per the official release of IITGN, the virtual meeting and the international conference are aimed to gather renowned scientists from across the globe to talk about their research work and address talks in the fields of Biomolecular NMR, Solid-State NMR, Structural Biology, MRI, and Synthetic Organic Chemistry. The event is meant to enrich the scientific fraternity through the mutual exchange of ideas and long-term collaborations and to stimulate young scientists.
The National Magnetic Resonance Society came into existence in 1996 by a team of practicing Indian magnetic resonance spectroscopists with the intent to advocate and speed up the magnetic resonance activities in India.
