The application process for the Post Baccalaureate Fellowship at the Robert Bosch Centre of Data Science & Artificial Intelligence of Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT-M) has begun on the 06th of May. The RBC-DSAI is among the few centres globally which is renowned for Data Science and AI applications in various disciplines of engineering.
The Post Baccalaureate Fellowship programme was introduced in the year 2019 and had received more than 100 applications in its maiden year. Out of the 100 which applied, only 04 were selected for the fellowship programme. The fellowship vacancies have been increased to 15 this year and any Indian student who fulfils the set eligibility criteria will be offered the fellowship.
Those who will be selected for the Fellowship will be eligible to receive a handsome stipend between 40k and 60k as per the experience and qualification of the students. The maximum duration of the fellowship programme is 2 years.

Head of RBC DSAI Professor B Ravindran said that the faculty members of RBC DSAI will mentor the independent research which will be undertaken by the post-baccalaureate fellows. They can refer to any thread of research, work with multiple research teams and collaborate with various Centre affiliates and visitors. In addition, the fellows will face no hindrance in accessing all the resources of RBC DSAI. They will also be given travel support to attend conferences every year across India.

Mr. Senthamizhan V, who is presently working with “ Facebook Data for Good ” initiative on analysis of COVID-19 disease spread is one of the Fellows of this programme.
