IIT Patna to Launch 6 New Courses in Business Management & Computer Sciences

Indian Institute of Technology Patna announces the introduction of six new courses for the Business Management and Computer Science domains. The institute also mentions that candidates need not have valid JEE Main scores to be eligible. These courses will be added to the curriculum next year, 2023-2024. Candidates interested in applying for these courses must still appear for an entrance exam, conducted by IIT Patna. The application forms to apply for any of these courses will be available on the official website at iitp.ac.in . IIT Patna states that this introduction of new courses is in the context of the National Education Policy (NEP), 2020.

Further in the press release, the IIT Patna states that these courses will follow a hybrid mode of education making it convenient for candidates to opt for it. Candidates will have the liberty to choose their preferred mode of education. Also, all the courses offered will be 3-year programmes imparting skills demanded by industries and employees around the entire globe. This initiative enables candidates to opt for other avenues in their life simultaneously to grow better. Further, upon completion of the course, candidates will be awarded the IIT Patna Alumni Status.

List of New Courses Introduced by IIT Patna

Here are the courses that are newly introduced by IIT Patna from the Business Management and Computer Science Departments. Candidates may opt for any of the courses as per their preferences and eligibility:

Business Management

• B.Sc. (Hons) in Accounting and Financial Management (AFM)
• B.Sc. (Hons) in Business Management and Analytics (BMA)
• Bachelor in Business Administration (BBA)

Computer Science

• B.Sc. (Hons) Computer Science and Data Analytics (CSDA)
• B.Sc. (Hons) Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity (AICS)
• B.Sc. (Hons)Mathematics and Computer Science (MCS)

Eligibility Criteria for New Courses Launched by IIR Patna

Although the institute has made it clear that candidates do not need a valid JEE Main score to be eligible to apply, yet, candidates must appear and qualify for any other entrance exams as listed by IIT Patna. To be eligible for any of the newly introduced courses at IIT Patna, candidates must submit scores for either of these exams:

• JEE Main
• IITP-SAT
• INSPIRE
• CUCET
• NTSE
• SAT(US)
• KVPY
• State-level entrance exams.

Note: The fee structure is the estimated fees and will vary for different courses. Also, 250 seats are for each course, making a total of 1500 seats available for admissions.
