The Electrical Engineering department's annexe building was inaugurated by the CM Nitish Kumar at the BCE-NIT Alumni association. The CM felicitated the oldest women engineers of the institute.The annual Alumni meet of BCE-NITP Alumni Association was celebrated at National Institute of Technology, Patna on 7th February 2016. The day witnessed a lot of entertainment and nostalgia.
Chief Minister of Bihar, Mr. Nitish Kumar who is also an alumnus of 1972, of Bihar College of Engineering, Patna (now NIT Patna) was present as a Chief Guest of the event. The undergraduate toppers of the 2015 batch were felicitated.
A medical camp was organized on the occasion in which senior and reputed doctors were available for the medical check-up of the alumnus and their families. The Chief Minister also announced that his government will try its best to bring the National Institute of Technology at par with the Indian Institute of Technology, Patna and also promised that the 100 acre land previously allotted to the National Institute of Technology, Patna would soon be given to accommodate today's strength of almost 3500 students at the college.
