New Delhi-based Indian Institute of Art and Design (IIAD) announces admission for its Bachelor of Arts (BA Honours) programmes in different subjects for the academic session starting from 2017.

Bachelor of Arts (BA Honours) programmes are offered in the following disciplines:

  • Fashion Design
  • Communication Design
  • Interior Architecture and Design

Eligibility for IIAD Admission 2017:

  • Candidates must have cleared 12th examination from CBSE/IB/ISC (or other equivalent board).
  • Candidates awaiting for the result of their 12th final examination can also apply.

Application Process for IIAD Admission 2017:

The institute follows two-step evaluation process for admission to its course. Aspiring candidates have to clear the following tests-

  • IIAD Design Aptitude Test (iDAT).
  • Have to appear for a comprehensive interview as well as portfolio assessment by a panel of art and design professionals.
  • Students having NATA score and applying for Interior Architecture & Design will be exempted from the iDAT written test. They will be directly appearing for their portfolio assessment and interview.

How to Apply for IIAD Admission 2017:

  • Each candidate has to write 'Statement of Purpose' essay. It should be clearly typed, and submitted with the completed application form.
  • For the online applications process, candidates can apply online at the website of the institute. They have to pay an application fee of INR 1,800 through debit/credit/net banking facilities. They can also pay the fees in cash or through a DD in the name of -Teamwork Education Foundation, payable at New Delhi. But applicants must mention their application form number, name and telephone number on the back of the DD.
  • For the offline applications forms and brochures, candidates can get them from the institute directly by paying a fee of INR 1,800.

About iDAT examination 2017:

The iDAT is a mandatory two-hour test conducted at prescribed testing centres like in Bangalore, Chennai, Bhopal, Kolkata, New Delhi, and Lucknow. The IIAD Admission Committee reviews the student's aptitude for observation, imaginative and creative expression, drawing and design skills as well as visual and communication strengths. Test papers and answer sheets are provided by the IIAD Examination Centre on the day of the test.
