ISC Class 12 English Paper 2 2023ISC Class 12 English Paper 2 2023: Given the amount of reading and memorizing ISC Literature in English paper requires, it is found difficult by many students. Moreover, it is an extremely lengthy paper wherein from Question 3 to Question 5, long answers are expected to be written for 5 or 10 marks each. Remembering all the acts and scenes requires a lot of reading and practice. Similar is the case for the Echoes and Reverie sections. ISC Class 12 English Paper 2 2023: Most Important Topics
All topics are equally important. As the syllabus has been revised this year and equal weightage has been given to Drama, Echoes, and Reverie, any of their sub-topics can be asked. But The Tempest is very important, given its three acts hold as much weightage as the sub-topics in echoes and reverie.
ISC Class 12 English Paper 2 2023: Last-Minute Tips
The most important quick tips which will improve your performance in the paper at these last days are given here:
- Although knowing the events of the drama and short stories is very helpful, only reading the summaries is not enough. The questions asked will test the candidate’s analytical thinking and personal opinion on it.
- Also, the reasoning questions will be formulated such that it will test the candidate’s understanding of the analytical points in The Tempest. So preparing analytical points based on the twist and turns of the story will be very helpful.
- MCQs will not have opinion-based questions but fact-based questions alone.
- For poetry, understand the meaning of each line in order to be able to answer the 5 or 10 marks questions.
- Go through character analysis. Note down their describing characteristics.
- Note down the key/thematic points of the plot.
- For each mark in the 5 or 10 marks questions, make sure that at least one significant point in your answer is highlighted per mark. Present these points clearly and distinctly in separate paragraphs. Don’t muddle up the entire text in a single paragraph.
- Answer the question directly for the scene. Do not start with a summary of the book. Target the topic of the question right from the start.
