The admission process for vocational courses at the Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) Mumbai, is most likely to start from 1 June 2018, two week prior as per the last year’s admission schedule. Preponing the ITI admission schedule will reduce the burden on the admission portal and students will have sufficient time to complete all the formalities.
Last year the admission process started on 14th June 2017, after the declaration of SSC result, due to which students did not have enough time and a lot of confusion was created during the admission process.
As per the tentative timetable released by the Directorate of Vocational Education and Training (DVET), the students can register for the admission from 1st June onwards. Students can confirm their application at one of the ARCs - Admission Reporting Centres and can mark their preference for vocational and institutes trades.

According to the reports, DVET will start the centralized admission process before the declaration of SSC results so that aspirants have more time to complete all the formalities of the admission process. Around 75% of aspirants for ITIs pass their class 10 examination much earlier and take admission in vocational courses. Other students enter their Class 10 results score in the application form once they get their results. In the meantime, students can finish other admission formalities.
