The results of the UP Board examinations will be declared on May 15. This was stated by secretary of the Board Shail Yadav. The Board will announce the results of nearly 70 lakh students.
An official from the Board said that students could access the results on the official website. “Certain private vendors have made a provision of providing results through SMS,” he said. In Lucknow district, there are over one lakh students who appeared for the examination at more than 700 schools affiliated to the Board.
Experts opined that the students should not feel stressed over the results. “The students and their parents should not get stressed when the results are declared and try to accept what their ward has received. Parents should specially understand that marks alone are not important for leading a successful life,” said a behavioural expert.
The UP Board was set up in the year 1921 at Allahabad by an act of United Provinces Legislative Council. It conducted its first examination in 1923. This Board is one in India which, from the very start, had adopted 10+2 system of examination. The first public examination after 10 years education is High School Examination and after the 10+2 stage, there is Intermediate Examination. Prior to 1923, University of Allahabad was the examining body of these two examinations.
