JEE Advanced 2022: Eligibility for Foreign Candidates & Registration Fee Details

IIT Bombay has officially released the exam date for JEE Advanced 2022 which will be conducted on July 3 for admission in IITs.The examination authority has released the exam dates, the list of academic courses offered by IITs and details about the registration fee (domestic and international candidates). The application process for JEE advanced 2022 will begin on June 8. Candidates who are not citizens of India must fulfil the following requirements to be eligible for appearing in the JEE (Advanced) 2022 with no benefit of reservations.

Eligibility Criteria of JEE Advanced 2022 for International Candidates

Here is the detailed eligibility criteria for international students aspiring to appear for JEE Advanced 2022 -

Eligibility Rule 1 for International Candidates:

• Candidates must be born on or after October 1, 1997
• In countries where there is a minimum duration in armed forces (or allied) for a certain period is mandatory before/ after Class 12, relaxation is provided accordingly. In this case, a certificate or declaration from the competent authority is mandatory

Eligibility Rule 2 for International Candidates - The total number of attempts allowed for JEE Advanced is 2

Eligibility Rule 3 for International Candidates -

• Candidates who appeared for Class 12 exams for the first time in 2021 or 2020 with PCM as mandatory subjects/ stream are eligible to appear for JEE Advanced 2022
• Candidates who had appeared for Class 12 exams in 2022 and results are still awaited can also register for JEE Advanced 2022

Registration Fee of JEE Advanced 2022 for International Students

All foreign national candidates desirous of appearing for JEE (Advanced) 2022 have to register online through the JEE (Advanced) 2022 website. The registration fee structure for JEE (Advanced) 2022 applicable to foreign national candidates is given in the following table.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic situation prevailing across the world, IIT Bombay has not decided to conduct the exam aboard. International students who wish to appear for the exam will have to come to India at their own expense and take the exam.
