JEE Main Application Form Correction 2023 Begins: Details to edit, important instructions

JEE MAIN 2023: As the National Testing Agency (NTA) had not earlier allowed any corrections to the submitted application forms, it received numerous requests from the candidates to open JEE Main application correction window. Therefore, in the interest of the students, NTA on January 12, 2023 released a notice regarding the provision of the application form correction facility. It is now open and available through the candidate’s login at jeemain.nta.nic.in. The correction window will remain accessible until January 14, 2023 (11:50 PM).

It is to be noted that no new applications will be accepted during this period. Only the previously applied students can correct the details as mentioned below. Also, a correction fee will be applicable which is to be paid using online methods as earlier done for the application form.

Important: The form correction is a one-time facility. A form once corrected and submitted cannot be edited again even if the deadline is not over.

JEE Main Application Form Correction 2023: Details to Edit

Other than the parameters listed below, no other corrections to the form will be allowed. Candidates are advised to recheck all their edited details before making the final submission. No further opportunity will be provided:

1. For All Candidates:

• No candidate will be permitted to edit their registered mobile number, email address, permanent address or their present address.

2. For Aadhar Verified Candidates:

• Candidate name, date of birth, and gender cannot be changed.

• Either father’s or mother’s name can be changed. Both cannot be changed.

• Similarly, for the category, candidates can only change either category or re-upload their category certificate and vice-versa but not both.

• The same is applicable for sub-categories like PwD. Candidates can change either change their sub-category or re-upload their sub-category certificate and vice-versa but not both.

• Candidates can freely edit their test city choice and medium of question paper, along with their Class 10 and Class 12 qualifications, including passing year. Candidates are also permitted to correct/add the selected course.

3. For Aadhar Non-Verified Candidates:

• All the details are same as above with changes as listed here:

• Candidates can edit their own name, along with their mother’s and father’s name. But only one of the three can be edited.

• Such candidates can also edit their date of birth and gender additionally.
